Little League International hosts all star tournaments each year for three divisions: 10-12 year old division, the 9-11 year old division, and the 8-10 year old division. There is another tournament for our "District 36" (hill and beach city leagues) that is not formally run by little league, but organized by the District 36 leagues similar to all stars.
The LBLL team selection process is as follows:
"All-star managers and coaches shall be selected and approved by the board of directors in a meeting held during the season. All-star rosters (including recreational teams such as in minors) shall be selected in the following manner: The player agent or agents for all players eligible for each team shall create and distribute voting sheets to each official manager and coach that was involved in that player’s division for the spring season. The player agent shall consult with all managers and coaches regarding their individual opinions at a meeting prior to the selection of the team. The player agent or agents shall accumulate the votes of all official managers and coaches confidentially. The voting results are NOT to be published or shared with anyone other than the LBLL executive board and the selected manager of the relevant team. The top 10 players of that vote shall be the first 10 players selected to the team. The all-star manager shall have the discretion to select any two (or more) players to fill out the roster as they see fit. All votes shall be held and accumulated confidentially."
