This year’s registration will have four options: (1) Tee Ball; (2) Rookie; (3) Upper Division (Minors/Intermediate/Majors) and (4) PV Peninsula Little League.  A player's division slot will be chosen after player evaluations and, for upper divisions, a draft of all available players.  Below is a general description of each division.

Tee Ball

Tee ball is beginner baseball for children ages 3 and up.  The focus is on the main fundamentals of baseball and learning the basics of the game and is intended for kids who have never played before, as well as those still building fundamentals and maturity leading up to competitive baseball.  This is a non-competitive division, meaning score is not kept.  The main goal is equal participation, team sportsmanship, and learning to love the game of baseball.  The decision as to whether your child plays tee ball, rookie, or any other division is eventually up to administration after player evaluations.  Safety is always of paramount importance when deciding what division a player will play in.

Rookie Division

Our new Rookie division has replaced our former "Farm" division.  If your child is not yet ready for machine pitch baseball and/or some introduced "real" baseball rules, tee ball is the best division for them until they gain some experience.  Our Rookie Division is designed for players who have a minimum of 1-2 years experience with baseball but are not yet ready for live kid pitching.  Unlike tee ball, it is "semi-competitive" as we incorporate "real" baseball rules such as outs and score keeping as the season progresses. If your child is not yet ready for machine pitch baseball and some "real" baseball rules, tee ball is the best division for them until they gain some experience and confidence.  Most league 6-7 year olds with prior experience playing will be placed in Rookie.

Minors

The Minors division is designed for players 8 and up who have played at least two years of Farm or Tee Ball and are ready to play competitive baseball.  In some instances, league age 7 players may be drafted into minors, but all players are required to be able to catch the ball and make competitive plays.  Minors division is a live kid-pitch division with some limitations on rules (such as walks and steals).  The division is a competitive one where score is kept, standings are compiled, and a champion is crowned! As with all divisions, The decision as to which division a player is slotted is eventually up to administration after player evaluations.  Safety is always of paramount importance when deciding what division a player will play in.

Intermediate

The Intermediate division is for designed for players aged 10-11 ready to play advanced competitive baseball.  The intermediate division features all "real" baseball rules including steals and walks etc.  Teams in this division also play an inter-league schedule with other Little Leagues on the hill. The decision as to which division a player is slotted is eventually up to administration after player evaluations.  Safety is always of paramount importance when deciding what division, a player will play in.

Majors

Our Majors division is designed for our most advanced players and is typically made up of 11 and 12 year olds only.  The decision as to which division a player is slotted is eventually up to administration after player evaluations.  Safety is always of paramount importance when deciding what division, a player will play in.

PV Peninsula Little League

Division for our 13 and 14 year-old ball players.  This replaces the former Peninsula Junior League and will offer more options and opportunities for these players. All players from all leagues on the hill will be funneled together.  It is going to be a great new venture!
